Kickstart your marketing career: What it’s really like to intern at Sopra Steria

Ever wondered what a marketing internship really looks like? Meet Maud Peper, who joined Sopra Steria as a marketing intern in April 2025, and is now continuing two days a week as a working student while finishing her studies.


From intern to insider: What’s the internship about?

From the very start, Maud led the upgrade of our merchandise portal to version 2.0. She launched a fresh, improved site with a new way to log in, updated visuals, clearer text, and some exciting new products. She also managed stock levels, answered questions about merchandise, and coordinated new design requests, all while planning the team’s design projects.

Now, as a working student, Maud continues to handle these important tasks while building her marketing skills on the job.


Highlights and insights

One of the best parts of this internship,” Maud says, “is working with other interns. We brainstorm together, pitch new ideas, and often get to bring them to life. It really pushes our creativity.” She also discovered that where you work matters just as much as what you do. “The environment here is super supportive. I was trusted with real responsibility, which made me feel confident and motivated.”


Personal and professional growth

Maud’s time at Sopra Steria helped sharpen her communication skills, boosted her assertiveness, and gave her a broad view of what marketing roles can look like. “I’ve learned more in a few months than I ever expected,” she adds.


Maud’s advice to future interns?

"Get to know everyone early on! People are incredibly welcoming, and it makes a huge difference when you need advice or support. It makes coming into the office something to look forward to.
